National Child Day National Child Day Children’s Artwork Display at Kelowna City Hall November 20th is National Child Day. To celebrate this special day in our community we are asking all members who currently provide a child care program for children 12 years and under, to have their children create a piece of art to display at city hall. Art work submitted must meet the following parameters: If you would like to pick up art work afterwards, please put your child care Art work submissions must be delivered to the Kelowna Child Care Society office no later than Monday November 7th, 2011. We will not be accepting any art after 4:30 pm on November 7th. Please do not take any art to City Hall. The art work will be displayed at City Hall from November 14th, 2011 to the18th. |

In 1993, the Government of Canada enacted Bill C-371, otherwise known as the Child Day Act, and designated November 20th of each year as a national day of the child in order to promote awareness in Canada of the Convention.
